QLR Photo Archive Disks

The Museum holds the Queen’s Lancashire Regiment Photography Collection.

This active archive of some 8,000 (so far, and counting)  mainly photographs, but also cartoons, drawings, pamphlets and notices, covers  every aspect of the life of the Regiment from 1975 onwards.

All parts of the regimental family are featured, including both the 1st and 4th Battalions, the Cadets, the Regimental Associations and Veterans, and others. Many of the images appeared over the years in the Regimental Magazine,  “Lancashire Lad.”

The Archive is currently being digitised.  DVD disks are available covering the years completed so far, at a cost of £12 per DVD including post and packing. All proceeds go to the preservation and maintenance of the Museum.

The Project needs help. Many images are uncaptioned, or have incomplete or even incorrect information. In order to make the historical record as accurate as possible, we are asking purchasers who may have more accurate knowledge to help us up-date our database.
