Italy. At Anzio, 1st Loyals are at last withdrawn from the line to rest. They have served continuously in the front line for 36 days, longer than any other unit in the bridge-head, and are credited with saving the beach-head by their fight at the Flyover on the 19th. It had cost them 3 officers and 24 men killed, 7 officers and 67 men wounded, and 2 officers and 100 men missing.
