The ‘45’ Jacobite Rebellion.  As Bonnie Prince Charlie and his Highlanders march south through the Midlands, 30th Foot (later 1st East Lancashires), serving as marines in the Channel Fleet, is hastily disembarked and hurried to London, where it takes up defensive positions around Hammersmith, Chiswick and Turnham Green.
