1945 92nd L.A.A, Regt Royal Artillery (formerly 7th Loyals), deployed on the west bank of the Rhine, begins firing on ground targets on the opposite bank in preparation for the Allied crossing of the Rhine at Wesel. 32,000 rounds are fired over the next four days.
